In the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, where blue agave fields paint an awe-inspiring landscape and centuries-old traditions of tequila-making are preserved, Etéreo Tequila has carved its unique identity. At Etéreo, we believe in more than just crafting exquisite premium tequila; we’re deeply committed to environmental stewardship. Our name, Etéreo, which means ‘ethereal’ or ‘heavenly’, truly encapsulates our ethos and the unforgettable experience we strive to provide with each sip of our tequila.
Our Premium Tequila
Etéreo Tequila is the culmination of a refined process that begins with the best blue agave plants that Jalisco’s fertile volcanic soils can offer. Our master distillers meticulously oversee the entire journey from field to bottle, ensuring our tequila maintains its high-quality consistency.
The heart of the agave, the piña, is slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens to bring out the plant’s natural sweetness. Following this, the cooked agave is crushed to extract the juice, which is then fermented and distilled. The resulting tequila is either bottled as a beautifully crisp Blanco or aged in oak barrels to develop our refined Reposado and Añejo variants.
Our commitment to creating a world-class spirit is seen in the complexity, balance, and depth of flavors in our tequila. From the initial smoothness, unfolding to notes of citrus, vanilla, or caramel, to the lingering warm finish, we deliver a truly ethereal experience.
Sustainability: A Core Principle
Equally as important as our commitment to quality is our dedication to environmentally friendly practices. We understand that the foundation of great tequila is a healthy environment, and thus, our respect for Mother Nature is unwavering.
We apply this environmental commitment in various aspects of our operations. Our distillery runs on renewable energy, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. The water used in the distillation process is treated and reused for irrigation in our agave fields, while the organic waste generated during production is converted into compost, further enhancing the fertility of our soils.
Preserving the life cycle of the blue agave is fundamental to our sustainability approach. We are staunch advocates of the traditional “campo” farming practices that have sustained the agave culture for centuries. We cultivate our agave plants for at least seven years, allowing them to mature fully and regenerate the soil around them. Our jimadores – the expert agave farmers – handpick the ripe agaves, ensuring the continuation of a balanced and healthy ecosystem.
At Etéreo, we also understand that sustainability extends beyond our agave fields. As such, our packaging is designed with recyclable materials, and we continuously seek opportunities to minimize waste in our operations.
Tequila with a Conscience
At Etéreo Tequila, we firmly believe that producing excellent tequila and being environmentally conscious are not mutually exclusive. We take pride in knowing that each bottle of our premium tequila reflects not just the superior quality and the rich heritage of tequila making, but also our commitment to preserving the beautiful environment that makes it all possible.
We invite you to join us in celebrating this heavenly blend of pleasure and responsibility – where every sip is a tribute to the rich Mexican tradition and an appreciation of our commitment to sustainability. Experience the ethereal journey with Etéreo Tequila, where premium meets sustainability.
